Wetnose re-visits Bulgaria April 2016 #WetnoseDay Guest Blog
Wetnose founders Gavin and Andrea Gamby-Boulger first went to visit Bulgaria in 2013 and met legendry *BORKO* with Peter Fison from SWLTV, actress Lorraine Chase, and TV presenter Wendy Turner Webster, with Gary Edwards from Norton Animal Rescue, our mission was to show the world what had happened to this poor dog and visit animal welfare shelters and talk about welfare issues in general.
We wanted to re-visit and see if animal welfare had changed at all in any way. Well after long flight delays and hanging around for ages we got on our flight and arrived at Sofia Airport at 4.00am in the morning, after a 1 hour drive we got to our hotel but nobody was there, so we ended up staying at Ekaterina Lazarova house in Varna for a few hours sleep. Adele (Mum’s best friend)
I’m having a perfect week catching up with friends and relatives in The Midlands and Warwickshire. Here’s Adele – I’ve known her all my life and thank you for my gift. Made me giggle and so true. I know age is not important but Adele is 68. She eats real healthy. Walks a lot and doesn’t drink or smoke. Bit of a role model for me. What do you think of Brodie hound? I could munch him up!

Women and Girls under Social Pressure by ‘David London’ #Artist
And it’s not just women. Men feel obliged to look a certain way too. I totally blame celebrity culture and mainstream media.
It’s better to be healthy than deprive yourselves of a little bit of you what you fancy for the sake of the perception of others. SO WRONG !! If you feel you need to look like a stick insect. Get some new friends and dump your partner.
Take some advice from an ‘old bird’ … if the people around you make you feel you’re not up to scratch, you’re not on the right path. Love is blind. Walk TALL !!
