Women and Girls under Social Pressure by ‘David London’ #Artist

 

 

And it’s not just women. Men feel obliged to look a certain way too. I totally blame celebrity culture and mainstream media.

It’s better to be healthy than deprive yourselves of a little bit of you what you fancy for the sake of the perception of others. SO WRONG !! If you feel you need to look like a stick insect. Get some new friends and dump your partner.

Take some advice from an ‘old bird’ … if the people around you make you feel you’re not up to scratch, you’re not on the right path. Love is blind. Walk TALL !!

Thank you Miranda Marieh who has just advised me, the artist is a guy named David London from Boston Massachusetts . Refreshing to see a male perspective that understands the pain of some of these women and girls.

Visiting Parents …

006.JPGWell today I’ve got a lot of bits and bobs sorted out. Then I’ve sat in the shed and done some writing. Joined by Dad who fed the fish. The eldest is ‘Saddle’ he’s the white big one and he’s 24 years old. I’m not sure about the CD collection around the pond but apparently it wards of predators due to being reflective. I’ve never challenged it …

Then I went to the skip to get rid of rubbish subsequently bought home a chair in need of TLC. Getting it covered in a deep purple crush velvet. It was £4.00 (bargain.) Photo of me looking a little washed out and no sign of a hairdryer. I’ve had a cold but feeling better.

My dad’s 78 and he still goes to work. Can’t get over it. He drives from Southam to Redditch most days. I am sure his staff get on better when he’s not there but it keeps him active.

Now I’m off to find a pub for supper!

Here’s a rapeseed field and in the distance you can see Stoneythorpe Hall in Southam.  Just such a beautiful time of year. Although I always feel sad to see the lambs who await death for our dinner plate. So lovely to get so near though. Friendly little things. Thank you Mrs Sheep and your baby. Glad to be a veggie.
