King of Our Hearts

“I’m gonna be a mighty king so enemies beware!” sang Simba in on of the most heart wrenching Disney classics, Lion King. I know, I know, corny beginning, but how many of us as kids staring up into Johnathan Taylor Thomas’s large, cartoon lion eyes really believed we would be a “mighty king” one day? What constitutes a “mighty king”? Who is this person we are striving to be? How are we going to become this sign of nobility and honor?

Some might think a “mighty king” is one who rules over others and is in a place of power exercising it how they see fit. Others might believe it is how one practices their leadership roles whether big or small through an ethical morality of the heart. Everyone…

cheap glasses

I only wear glasses when I am reading, writing or on my computer. These particular ones were £1.50 from Pound Land. (I always get smug over a bargain.) My sunglasses, on the other hand were a bit more extravagant. But anyway, I’ve been writing a comical story about when I was a child and I’ve been laughing out loud at my own jokes. Sounds conceited but if we don’t love what we’re writing and it doesn’t make us feel passion then how will it reach others. That is unless others use your words instead.
