I remember when I was around 12 years old carol singing with my friends and we used to sing this on every doorstep. The more we sang it, the better it got. Then a man opened the door and gave us £10. That was a lot of money in those days. Especially to a bunch of kids. We were all amazed. Then he said ‘you’ve just saved my life.’ I will always remember that moment. TBH©
