UK Information for Campaigners for #StopYulin Dog Meat Festival Yulin

For everyone affected by the atrocities taking place in Yulin at the moment. I too am feeling that pain. It is such a tragic time of year. I try to continue sending love and light to the cats and dogs. I am sending healing, lighting a candle to send their tortured souls to the light. We all have our own ways of dealing with it.

The hardest part about being a campaigner/volunteer (for anything) is that the nicest and kindest people are often those who give most time. They feel the hurt, the pain and the connection more deeply.

Whilst those who carry out the hate, bias, wrath and injustice seem to fall under the radar of compassion. We must not forget, every man can be broken and fixed. It’s all about education. Showing how dogs and cats are to our benefit. We need them as much as they need us. Animals in our lives heal, guide and expand love to over come loneliness. To restore our faith and trust in humanity, nature and oneness.

Todays news comes from my good friends over at The Animal Team who tell me there’s an open Facebook page by the Chinese Embassy UK. I have posted my thoughts on there. I suggest you do the same. Tweeting and posting is wonderful but extending our words to petitions and directly to the people in power will elevate us as one.

I have added a link to the Chinese Embassy UK Facebook page further down. Please, read the below – to be taken seriously.Β

  1. Do not swear
  2. Do not be racist
  3. Plan what you want to write beforehand
  4. Keep it short and to the point (run a spell check)
  5. Do not post anonymously or with alter ego accounts (be you and be proud)

Please have a go !! What have you got to lose?!

Here is the linkΒ Chinese Embassy UK Facebook Page

My little animal page on Twitter is @UKRescueConnect where I set up automated tweets. So I’m not there much at all. I use a software called Roundteam that is really good. It can automate hashtags to re-tweet to your page or re-tweets from other Twitter accounts. So you could set up something to re-tweet the hashtags #StopYulin #StopYulin2016 etc.

The Animal Team offer up to date news and also work with smaller rescue up and down the country. There isn’t much they don’t do for animal welfare. They offer news on #StopYulin via @the_animal_teamΒ (Twitter.)

I will bring more great news about Wetnose Animal Aid next week. Bunnies and donkeys (in particular) and I’ve set up a separate blog for my fundraising work as I think I may start confusing people ( if I haven’t already aargh!)

#StopYulin #MarcChing China – Twitter Campaign Today. IMPORTANT INFO

The annual barbaric Yulin Dog Meat Festival that takes place from the 21st to the 30th June is well underway where stolen dogs and cats – plus pets bred to eat are being tortured slowly for fun and financial gain. It is enjoyed by the local dog killers as though it’s a sport. They are showing no mercy and the animals are being beaten, kicked and punched for days before their paws, limbs, tails are cut off as the other dogs and cats watch on waiting their fate.

dogs

Many are stolen pets – microchipped.

Most are then skinned alive. Others are just put straight in to scolding water and boiled slowly. They believe in Yulin and parts of China that the more the dog or cat suffers, the better it tastes. It’s heart rendering.

There is currently a Twitter campaign that I believe is being censored. Campaigners are not seeing hashtags shared by other campaigners. I cannot reach any online Activists in China via Twitter. Apart fromΒ Β and they seem quiet. I hope they are all ok.

Marc Ching a campaigner from the USA is in Yulin now, shutting down slaughter houses and so far he has 1,000 dogs. He is trying to find other activists in China to foster the dogs.

If you are one of the online campaigners, don’t give up.

There is a Tweet Sheet (link at foot of this blog) set up by another campaigner. Simply click on the links and tweet. That’s the best we can do for now. I will keep you updated.

#StopYulin #StopYulin2016 various other hashtags but I am told #StopYulin is the best one. Try to copy other campaigners in on the tweets by using the option below the tweet bar to tag people into the tweet. Use your own tweets, re-tweets are good to unite but not as powerful as those coming from your own timeline.

I am @ukrescueconnect on Twitter for animal campaigning. Good Luck.

A good way to connect with the hashtags is to add them to your actual profile on Twitter.

Twitter #Hashtags to Support Animal Welfare Campaigns – Get involved if you can!

#StopAnimalAbuse for everyone to have a voice and engage. If you’ve spare time to participate on social media, it would be great for you to get involved. And you can use these posters if you want to. Β (Right click to save.) They’re not brilliant but I want to contribute. Please follow @wetnoseanimal for which I am a volunteer and a little page I manage in my spare time @wetnoseday. I’m off to meet 150 hedgehogs next week at Oggles Rescue. More news on that soon.

And #StopYulin2016 there’s various other hashtags, all as effective, but here’s my contribution anyway.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your community. It’s about finding a balance between ‘self’ and healing others. Little steps make progress. Being consistent and ensuring we take care of our family. I’d like to say we could all run off on a pilgrimage of salvation but we do need to afford our tickets. I’ve pets to support and I need to eat so I shall be focusing on something between healing and getting things done for my future – That in turn will ‘hopefully’ help others. I enjoy my crash, bang, wallop attitude, it works well for me.
