Myra and other sea life #video #education

At the beginning of this video I found Myra – I swam with her with my sons when they were little. She lost her baby and never swam on with her pod. She stayed in case her baby returned. But sadly a baby dolphin was washed up on the shore a mile or two down the coast. I am absolutely gob smacked that I found this footage as it was over fifteen years ago I swam there. This is a lovely video about the sea and the dolphins. Myra protected my youngest son in the water as it was rough tides and he wasn’t a stable swimmer – he was holding on to his surf board and she went beneath it and supported him in the water. She rubbed noses with him too and I have never seen his face beam so much. It was worth the experience although very dangerous as the waves were smashing against the rocks. I hope the people who made this video know of her story. I am sure the locals will have told her. Wait til my sons see this video. What a gorgeous blast from the past. I often think about her. Bless that dolphin!

baby!

Royal Baby! The third child of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. Posted via social media by Royal Central. Oh what gorgeous news! To celebrate life and birth. Nice things do happen here in the UK. We just have to open our eyes! I believe Prince Harry and Prince William deserve so much happiness. You know, they lost their mum and are shining examples of family and the welfare of those who need support. For example, they both turned up to meet the victims of the Grenfell fire disaster a few times. They do so much for humanity and animal welfare which often go unnoticed. I am choked up!

‘Chief Dan George’ my heart soars

The beauty of the trees,
the softness of the air,
the fragrance of the grass,
speaks to me.

The summit of the mountain,
the thunder of the sky,
the rhythm of the sea,
speaks to me.

The faintness of the stars,
the freshness of the morning,
the dew drop on the flower,
speaks to me.

The strength of fire,
the taste of salmon,
the trail of the sun,
And the life that never goes away,
They speak to me.
And my heart soars.

Ewbank Fetish #diary

Sometimes when you want to get things clean real quick and you get sick of humping the vacuum cleaner around the place – a Ewbank is fabulous. My nan had one when I was little and I used to help her clean the house. She never had a vacuum – or phone – she used to wash by hand and then mangle the linen to wring out the excess water. So I learned how to be sustainable from a young age.

I bought one for Annona which was ideal for keeping the floors clean. I didn’t realise until now it was a British invention! I decided to Google it and apparently it was invented in the 1800’s. A bit of worthless information but really,  if you can afford one get a Ewbank. Mine will have a lot of work to do! I’ll post a video of me in action with it soon … They’re less than £25 too! Boom … Bargain! I don’t understand why technology moves so fast when we have enough around already. Click image above if you like and find the website I just sourced. It is fascinating. Anyway, time to crack on – tea break over. I am panicking a bit at the moment. The more I worry, the less I get done.

Long story. You would probably struggle to believe me if I told you. Basically, I went to Wales for Easter and got stuck there for almost two weeks. I am not going to get much time to travel for a while – so I am trying to get rid of so much stuff – while struggling to find enough time to get it all done! Sigh .. come on Tiff – snap into it! I just get so distracted by absolutely everything.  TBH©
