I hadn’t got much in the fridge yesterday. I sort of threw this together and it worked. I made a note to self to take a pic of the next sandwich to share here. And here it is. My soul food for sleepless nights!
Ingredients
- Readyācooked beef (peppered, or rubbed with crushed black peppercorns)
- Mature cheddar, grated
- Mustard, sharp and generous
- Sourdough or ciabatta bread
- Salted butter
Method
- Butter bread with salted butter.
- Layer beef, cheddar, and mustard.
- Toast until the bread is crisp, cheese molten, and pepper sings.
- Slice, serve hot, and revel in the indulgence.
