Do You Enjoy Writing Wicked?
Really useful tips here for aspiring writers to include myself! We should always remain open to learning. Some of the best writers I’ve come across are blogging and not just crafting books! I cannot believe I used to go on Twitter!
Every hero needs a villain.
Remember the cardboard cutout dastardly villain who squeezed his handle bar mustache between his fingers while tying the damsel in distress to the railroad tracks. Those days are over.
If you are a writer and you have a great hero, there is one thing that you need; an even GREATER villain.
Today’s readers and audiences don’t expect a bad guy who is all brawn and no brains. They want a villain who challenges our hero and defeats him time and time again. This allows you to build tension. Readers want a cunning evil doer who is always two steps ahead of our protagonist.
Think of The Joker (the Heath Ledger version of course) in The Dark Knight, constantly outwitting everyone including Batman. Hannibal Lecter “quid pro quo” demands of Clarice Starling; before he led her to a serial killer (Buffalo Bill) she desperately needed to…

Darth Vader supporter Chewbacca arrested in Ukraine
I admit to having a little giggle at this, as he reminds me of ‘me’. Poor guy, badly handled by police for following his heart. Best friend is ‘Darth Vader’ who wants to be elected. The fluffy pal was fined the equivalent to £5.00.
This is the rare type of person I love to make friends with. Free, funny, a little weird and following his heart.
Quite a sweet tale really! I admit to feeling tearful when they restrained him. Why do this to someone whose only crime is to be different? Yet, this is how we should lead by example. We can all be Chewbaccas!

Powerful enchantments, used each night
Resting tired minds, tired souls
Preparing for what another day brings
Filled with problems, needing solutions
Filled with experience, knowledge gained
While much needed rest, comes begging
Staring into the beauty of night
Moon smiles upon from above
Being overprotective, as a guardian
Eyes of the hawks, menacing in appearence
Closely watching for any danger
Sleep catches up, causing heaviness
Unable to resist much longer
Giving into temptations
