Park View Cottage – Glossop – So Beautiful #review holiday rental – pet friendly cottage – the Peak District

Last month, you may recall me telling you all about a beautiful cottage in Glossop, owned by a friend of mine. A wonderful landlady. The space is decorated to ‘designer’ standards, restoring each room to the very best way a stone dwelling could possibly look in its entirety.

I wrote most ofΒ  my forthcoming book at Park View Cottage. A memory that will stay with me. Directly opposite is the park where I spotted a doggy just like my Foley. Glossop town is enchanting and about a ten minute walk away. There’s a lovely chip chop and Chinese take away just down the road too!

A couple of pubs that looked fabulous (although, I didn’t visit.) And a little well equipped supermarket. If you are looking for a beautiful break in the Peak District with panoramic scenery, very friendly locals – a home that’s also pet friendly. Please consider this wonderful cottage. Park View cottage is such a romantic place to stay, whether you go with a friend or alone with your hound! You won’t be disappointed.

Please send Jane my love if you visit. I’d love to hear how you enjoyed her lovely cottage too. For the Many!

my fire #diary

Drove up a lovely mountain. A break from writing. Dog bonding – Lit a fire. Stack of old Movies. Having a Meryl Streep/Steve Martin day. Doing some romantic comedy. That’s my bag. Nothing intense. Keeping it simple. I’m done with baggage. The only thing missing right now is a joint. (Been ages … little bit of what you fancy now and again. I answer to no-one.)Β  Just laughing, thinking of the past (book ideas) you know when you go on a first date with a nerd and they ask you to list your fave movies and songs. I don’t do that shit. Would rather not say anything and stare at the stars. Words are cheap. My own company is hard to beat right now.

This town is so gorgeous. I’ve gone into another zone. I cannot wait to get out there and take some photographs. I’m on the top of the Peak District for a week. I need to work out where to buy more logs from? It’s chilly. Oh god, this film is sad. I love Steve Martin. Amen. TBHΒ©

Goodbye Matlock and my new book!

It’s been such aΒ  joy to spend time in this ever so ‘quirky – chintz’ barn, doing nothing else but write – discover the area and local community. If you ever want to find a wonderful part of the UK to explore that has such friendly, down to earth locals with lots of things to do and see – try to visit Matlock in Derbyshire. You won’t be disappointed! And Matlock Bath is beautiful. All of this within the Peak District – Wow! There’s lots more about my adventures in my new book!

I have set up a platform specifically to talk about my very exciting writing project. If you’d like to drop by please use thisΒ contact linkΒ Β and I’ll add you to my mailing list. Thank You – I really would love to hear from you. Be the first to know all about my new book ! TBHΒ©

The balance between writing and breaks with the sky makes sense to me – keeps me out of trouble. Your troubles are not mine – they’re not yours really, either. Life is our own interpretation and this is how it is for me right now – beautiful. I’ve got the world on my shoulders – […]
