fresh beds and plant pots

My guests checked out this morning in Lytham, and I am savoring my second small venture. It was quite a challenge adapting to the cowardly ways of spyware and bugging, which have so far operated above the law, a situation I’ve had to endure since November 2022. It’s concerning how an unstable, delusional mind can inflict psychological pain on good people, as well as harbor malicious intentions towards minors, pets, public profiles, and staff members.

We can only hope the (clearly bored) ‘comedian’ in Hampstead will disconnect from his intrusive ways and focus on his own life, while we extend our best wishes to him and his team of criminals. It’s distressing to learn that my phone images are being hacked, and it’s concerning that new ideas have emerged, based on specific dates from my bedroom. The picture belonged to my late father. It’s hugely sentimental and up until recently, it was personal. Just like family matters should be, and are for most people.

I recently poured my whole heart and a bit of my sanity into the exhilarating world of wax melts, a passion that blossomed amidst the upheaval of lockdown life. Alongside my ‘partner’ in transformation, of ‘that time’, where we sought solace in this unique pursuit. Bringing a little ray of sunshine into the midst of quarantine blues. And you know what? I’m still at it, turning forgotten items into treasures, from neglected furniture to mundane plant pots, breathing life and charm into every corner.

Recently,I revitalised my late father’s weathered benches, and let me tell you, they’re my pride and joy! Stay tuned for more escapades on this post (when I get time …) because I have countless stories to share. Right now, I’m reveling in the warm glow that comes from being a nesting enthusiast, surrounded by my diverse and cherished circle of loved ones, mainly of the fluffy kind. Good guests, friendly locals, but most of all, ME. It’s just got real. And I love to indulge with over sharing. Faking Friends is so irrelevant when we can enjoy our own peace. Sorry if I appear to be a missing person, but I am really enjoying my cat time with reality and intelligent focus.

Anyway I have shit loads of cleaning and washing to do. Bills to pay and local adventures. Have a lovely Sunday to all.

The Love Nest Project and Space

During time with Dad we would sit in his summerhouse and have our best chats about life. It was situated by the edge of his pond, overlooking the garden. And when he died, I missed those moments and wished I had made time for more. Realising time is precious but then learning by my regrets.

When I moved home, I decided to create a garden and enjoy my own elements of nature as I was feeling pretty miserable with life in general. All due to such awful happenings beyond my control, from a vile and dreadful man who tried to destroy everything around me. Subsequently, I invested in a small summerhouse. It’s been the best personal design project so far. And it is a space I am in love with so much. I treasure it. Everything about the design is a new love story. It is such a personal task and represents so much more, it would be impossible to explain, and it is still progressive as summer is yet to come. This ongoing journey helps me over come so many obstacles and is very beautiful. More than words could ever say. It means the world to me. So let’s carry on. This world is in such a mess, having something so simple is so good for love. It is healing with a freshness from the heart. During hardship comes new doors alongside our worst challenges.

And when we feel passionate about something, it is amazing where in the universe sentiment comes from. Some of the bits here I have found on the street or in charity shops. Junk lying around the house. The sofa becomes a bed, so next I am going to cover it in more cushions and a big soft throw. It’s a real love project, inspired by space and time travel to be honest.

New beginnings. Infinity. And the kitty is a memorial for Billy because I never got to say goodbye. I believe he was taken. It killed me, my heart broke open, as I nurtured him back to health. But during all that hate and heartache, new things rescued me. I had almost lost hope, but never my faith. So very beautiful … truly.

Intelligent, compassionate, funny, handsome. Cute! I am totally spellbound and the summerhouse is how I share my feelings. And there’s so much more. It’s ours.

Misunderstandings are all to easy with chaos amidst words and spontaneity, but with a physical imprint, there comes trust and persistence. Because we get out what we put in. I am sure you will agree. Because I said so!

Thank You for Finding Me …

With Love. X

The Joy Journal by Laura Brand – new book at Belleva House

When I feel lacklustre and come up for air with a quick social fix, one of the first people I look up for a reality check is Laura Brand via the instagram platform.

We think she is just adorable. Regardless of what is going on in the world, Author and Artist, Laura Brand, remains consistent to her crafts, family, and pets. Her posts are always so delicately put together, often with links to others of interest within the creative sector. Who are also offering good reads and inspirational past times. Laura takes time to convey her posts with gorgeously thoughtful images and video snippets, often of nature and in particular flowers.

I cannot wait for her next book. ‘The Joy Journal for Grown Ups,’ which is about to launch and there’s 50 crafting ideas within the pages. It is going in the hotel on the table with my other favourites for guests to enjoy. You can take a book to your room with pleasure but please put them back in the lounge. Belleva Guest House located in Blackpool (Lancashire) on St Chads Road, offer a home from home atmosphere, for those who enjoy relaxing in a peaceful environment.

Bath Fizz now at Belleva

During winter my entire routine changes organically. I am shattered in the day and wide awake at night. I like to sleep in the afternoon, then I am up for a few hours. I sleep late at night and then I am wide awake from about 1am onwards with a few cat naps. I have worked out I get between six and seven hours sleep per 24 hours. There’s a high wind outside. A storm brewing. The turbulent air coming across the Irish Sea. It’s so fervent and telling of our times.

The last few days I have been crafting Bath Fizz. It was supposed to be a bath bomb elixir, but they just would not set. A hobby founded between us during lockdown. So, I formulated Bath Fizz and it passed the chemist assessment. Not tested on animals, I may add.

The Fizz is so natural it could almost be edible. Consisting of corn starch, bicarbonate of soda, citrus powder, Himalayan rock salt, olive oil, water and then either essential or parfum oils. I am really proud of it.

I put together cinnamon and sweet orange oil. I discovered the orange oil is good for problem skin and cinnamon is an antioxidant so these combined with the Himalayan rock salt will be beneficial for a detox to the skin. Then, today Danielle mixed the Sea Spray Parfum with a new batch of fizz which has the most gorgeous aroma.

The fizz is packaged in degradable packaging. These are available for guests to purchase or can be picked up from the hotel. We also have a range of pamper boxes that include our CLP compliant melts in a range of intriguingly divine scents. Plus, hand poured soaps that are also fully licensed. They can be bought individually too. We will be adding more pictures and pricing in the coming days.

Such a therapeutic past time for the winter months. A mobile business. But for these cute items it is the scent that defines their loveliness. And when people experience the aromas, they want to buy them.

Individual large melts start from Β£1 and scent for up to 3 days.

A bag of 6 is Β£5.

Soaps start from Β£4 each. Fizz is Β£4 a pack.

Or we can prepare you a beautiful natural box full of goodies. Ideal for Xmas gifts or a treat just for you. Minimum order Β£10 for deliveries.  Why not arrange to drop by to the house to sample our range of melts, fizz, and soap. Handmade, hand poured in Blackpool using the finest ingredients. More to come shortly.
