nice start to the day #diary

Had to share this canvas for which I’m delighted that arrived this morning together with some prints of Foley to make a collage for Annona. This is Kris and Karlyn, they are strong, resilient ladies who work to help others ever day of their lives.

I’m setting up a small partnership with Karlyn to bring people together. Holistic work is much the same as volunteer work. It’s not about us – it’s about you so we stay in the background. We’ve softly put the word out there away from the web (mainstream) and are delighted to already have almost 50 people on our mailing list. The groups will only consist of a max of 8 people. (Apart from festival work.)

I’m moving and have lots going on plus Karlyn helps with lots of care work during the week so our new project is like a hobby for us both. We’re really excited. The tent arrived yesterday and some of the ethnic cushions. We’ve sourced two big faux fur rugs. It’s all moving along.

Then I’ve got a few of these faux fur head dresses for us all to wear when we have our Shakti Dancing groups. A great way to let go and connect with the universe, land and music.

Here’s a random picture of the home front that delights me. It’s a table and two chairs I painted a few years ago now in the kitchen of my little place, all propped up. Cost hardly anything. I despise dark wood furniture. I like light and airy. So this completes the basement. Ready for new adventures! (Spot my ice machine!) Not my entire taste with all here but I’m doing this on a set budget. (Without wishing to sound a ‘snob’ I don’t like plastic kettles and black microwaves – prefer chrome, but using what I have lying around.) The decanter is a piece of Italian artefact. I adore the bloody thing and hope I never break it!

Finally, a print that is just lovely. The amazing Sophia Loren. She’s gorgeous. Love how she is wrapped up in a blanket.

TBH.

for my son – may your journey bring knowledge

Dropped my youngest son at the airport. He works so hard – seldom taking time for himself. Previous time was when we went to Amsterdam last year. He hasn’t even visited Annona in Wales yet.

I can’t help being sentimental – he’s a grown up now and very independent. Never been a worry. Neither of my boys have. They do their own thing which makes me forever more proud and sometimes a little guilty as I walk my own journey with little demand. I’m lucky.

My youngest son has built a property portfolio using only his own craftsmanship. He’s provided affordable housing for tenants. He’s a degree in surveying but chose to work this way as opposed to office life.

Just sitting at the airport meant we had time without the usual distractions of our phones and things to get done. We talked on a higher level. We can do that. We are like-minded. He’s a wise soul. So spiritually connected and well researched yet, practically driven. Ahead of me on both counts. They both are.

My eldest son amongst other things, collects world artefact and listens to Mozart alongside drum n’ bass. He loves music and philosophy. Between them they cover everything I could wish for.

As I walked away my youngest son said, ‘Mum, keep in good spirit.’

It’s the way he said it.

I walked away holding a cappuccino in a cardboard cup, wearing my favourite red trainers and an orange plastic festival jacket – grinning from cheek to cheek. I didn’t look back. (But I wanted to …)

I said he should take a camera – record the break. He replied, ‘I don’t need to do that.’ He hasn’t even got a smart phone. Just some old tatty thing. Whereas, I can be overly decadent with gadgets. Although, not phones. I only lose them.

I wish him a journey full of abundance as he travels alone.

TBH. (Mum.) X

perception

Things we love can be two things. Stuff that we ‘think’ is above us and then … stuff that we ‘think’ is below us.

Somewhere … in the middle … there is love.

You know, if we really think about it. There’s only ever ‘one’ bad person in our head.

As for my own ‘mind’ … well. But anyway, it’s all about the journey and that journey is absolute love and to me, love is being part of a circle. For, if someone wants to control you they are in the dark. Let them stay there, they’re stuck in the 3rd dimension. It’s true! Do not be fooled for the darkness likes to think it works alone. It’s already isolated by #Karma so let the music play.

TBH.
