Pink House at the Back and p.s.

This last year has flown by. If you have been following here thank you! I have my soap and wax ready to set up and continue with my hobby aka South Shore Soap Company. A few rooms to dress – but since I wanted a few days off, I decided to stay at the back of our place and get some kind of organisation with the little yard. We are pink! I haven’t spent out on anything as I already have too much clutter so we potted up the tubs I have collected over the years. There is so much I want to do out here but this is a start.

Thanks this week to everyone who has helped here. You are always so welcome. It is still time bonding with new space and energy. To sage, to feel the crystals below the boards manifest their work. To watch plants grow (hopefully). To stay in a good place with an open heart and not allow any negativity to hinder such a great and transitional journey. As for the yard – next year we will be a bit more creative but this is lovely for now. It’s clean and fresh, although there are not as many seagulls up here. But I am between both so it’s a great contrast.

It was lovely to see my youngest son and the cats this week. Always miss them when they go home. I am getting lazy with the internet, apologies. Have a great weekend.

ps We made a wardrobe out of two tiles and some pipe. Waiting for splash back for the shaker kitchen. Door security locks on. Crow lamp hanging in the attic room. There’s a huge bath in a dark grey bathroom and the blinds are coming next week. They are the best blinds I have ever designed. It’s so freckin’ neat here! OOhh baby …

A little magical story about Cat Mint #Herbs #EarthSpirit

Yesterday I found a mint bush hidden away by the pond in the garden. George who helped with the garden died last year. It broke our hearts.

I picked some of the mint to put in drinks and left it in a glass of water over night. This morning it had perked up. As you will know when we pick something it starts to wither straight away. Water maintains all life.

I spoke about the mint and was told it smelt like cat mint. I googled then found a WordPress blog about the mint as I wanted to first ensure cat mint was edible. The blog I discovered opened with my favourite saying, ‘Less is More.’ Little synchronisations like this are the reason I am in love with nature. Click the Image below of mine to go to the blog I discovered by The Greening Spirit.

I’m rubbish with names and often I take photographs of flowers and trees that aren’t particularly good quality. Yet – it’s the journey that counts. But … every photo has a memory for me – value – a blue-print.

Each day I could write such tales – but then there would be less magic as reflection takes time that can often be better spent channelling our life purpose. Yet, we do have to make effort to share (I tell myself …) It’s good to keep a portal of communication. I do enjoy blogging. Less is More!

~Namaste~ I love You All – Tiffy. X

With Kudos to The Greening Spirit.

A Little Gem #Gardening #Garden #Patio #Upcyle #Recycle

Making good of outdoor space is such a great form of relaxation. Here’s a small garden area created by my son whom is a landscape gardener. He’s taken a corner of his space and lovingly crafted an eclectic mix of nostalgic artifact with ferns, rainbow stones, fossils and annual flowers. The area will be green all year round with a variety of shrubs and florals to give vitality each month of the year. There’s not a lot of cost to this but it takes time.

Also you will see a porcelain BBQ. These are great for cooking all year round. They stay warm for hours longer. Fabulous to sit around when there’s a nip in the air and they save on fossil fuels and energy bills.

My son’s also added a small pergola and herringbone patio area. The majority of the garden is laid to decking as it was a pub garden in its former life. He’s used old dolly tubs and water tanks to plant up oriental trees.

The icing is the high wall he’s expanded using sourced – up cycled bricks to remain in keeping with the existing wall. He did this himself having no previous experience of brick laying.

It would be fair to say – I’m so proud of ‘all’ my precious family.

Landscape Gardener offers 2 to 3 hours per week to support community projects in #Warwick or #LeamingtonSpa

Are you a Β charitable organisation/community project in the Warwick or Leamington Spa region that has need for a part time volunteer to help with the development of your garden space? This would be to work in the community and teach basic gardening skills to your residents.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This could be a childrens home or safe place for battered wives/partners in danger. A place for the mentally sick. It is my son who is offering his time. The proprietor of a well established gardening business in Leamington Spa with 8 years experience – who now feels in a position to offer some of his time ‘freely’ back to the community.

He will be visiting you as a volunteer and does require any funding/payment.

If you would like to get involved please email me with your place of service, registered charity number, contact details and suitable time for contact.

At this stage he is offering between 2 and 3 hours per week. He is fully insured and can provide tools. All we ask is that you provide funds for plants and materials specific to your outdoor space.

Thank You. Tiffany Belle Harper.
