Global Awareness for The Homeless #petition. PLUS must see #video!

Sick of all the hate and prejudice in society? Me too! Russell Brand (lovely guy) is pioneering a unique campaign for the homeless. By getting involved. Signing and Sharing this Petition. We are raising awareness on a global scale. It’s a fun way to make new online kindred friends also! Here’s the video and a link to the petition. Thank you to online activists around the world, for circulating, (last weekend in particular.) TBH

PETITION HERE – ANYONE IN THE WORLD CAN SIGN AND GET INVOLVED! Please email to your friends and share across media. Let’s stop spreading fear and hate and send some love.

smile for doorsteps – they’re home to some people.

If you’ve a smile on your face today, may it be due to do something you did for the thousands of people who lost their homes and are living in fear and destitution. Sleeping in back alleys and on corporate doorsteps. I often wonder what Earth would be like without the ignorant walking amongst us. It disgusts me to the bone.

I don’t understand how anyone can step over or walk around a person who can’t get up. Yes, many are drug users, but what else do they have to do to escape their circumstances? We need an exodus of people to help the homeless. It is not right. There are many organisations needing help right now. Can you not spare an hour a week? Or what about animal rescue centres who need bedding and blankets for the many unwanted pets handed over as though they are toys at this time of year. It is not always about digging deep for coins, time is what they need too. The most caring people I know are not on a computer all day, they are out there, right now, giving their time freely. Not for self promotion or glory seeking, but because they care and want better things for the vulnerable.

I do believe charity starts at home and there are people sleeping rough within yards of where we sit warm right now.

St Basils Walk Preventing Young #Homelessness in #Birmingham takes places June 17th South #Cotswolds

It’s turned out to be a heart-warming day. An annual walk takes place hosted by St Basils  – preventing young homelessness in Birmingham – on June 17th in the glorious location of South Cotswolds where participants may take advantage of lovely villages and rural life whilst raising funds for the vulnerable.

I will be going along with a group of friends to the shortest walk (7 Miles) which is pet friendly. The two longer walks – dogs are not allowed but ideal for those with more stamina!

Please get involved if able. It’s going to be a lovely day out. Full details can be found by clicking on the image below. Good Luck and See You There!

#Homeless – Hungry – Mentally and Physically Unwell – Meet John #Poverty #HomelessUK

This is John whom I met last year. I had reservations about posting this video as my main concern was to help John. Yet, sadly after a year no further contact was made- I’ve decided to use this footage to help others in the same position.

So … we’ve left the EU. Surely we need to use some of the additional funds now with the UK to ensure every UK Citizen with a British Passport has food and shelter. No person should be living outdoors like this. John is unwell. He needed medical attention and respite, not to be travelling the length of the UK for work without money for transportation, food and a place to sleep.

I had not met John previous to making this video and cannot endorse the accuracy of the information. But it is clear to me, John was doing all he could to improve his circumstances. Cold, frail, walking on to the M1 in the rain with no idea where his next help would come from.
