Ewbank Fetish #diary

Sometimes when you want to get things clean real quick and you get sick of humping the vacuum cleaner around the place – a Ewbank is fabulous. My nan had one when I was little and I used to help her clean the house. She never had a vacuum – or phone – she used to wash by hand and then mangle the linen to wring out the excess water. So I learned how to be sustainable from a young age.

I bought one for Annona which was ideal for keeping the floors clean. I didn’t realise until now it was a British invention! I decided to Google it and apparently it was invented in the 1800’s. A bit of worthless information but really,  if you can afford one get a Ewbank. Mine will have a lot of work to do! I’ll post a video of me in action with it soon … They’re less than £25 too! Boom … Bargain! I don’t understand why technology moves so fast when we have enough around already. Click image above if you like and find the website I just sourced. It is fascinating. Anyway, time to crack on – tea break over. I am panicking a bit at the moment. The more I worry, the less I get done.

Long story. You would probably struggle to believe me if I told you. Basically, I went to Wales for Easter and got stuck there for almost two weeks. I am not going to get much time to travel for a while – so I am trying to get rid of so much stuff – while struggling to find enough time to get it all done! Sigh .. come on Tiff – snap into it! I just get so distracted by absolutely everything.  TBH©

Sir Elton John – Pioneer for Charity – Artist – Singer/Song-Writer – meeting mannequins (Dover Street Market)

Photo not my own – I steal the ones I want. This is so vividly crafty. I used to design and sell mannequins. I don’t miss this type of work due to the storage and logistics – I went too big too soon and it sort of got out of hand. It is all in my book. but I still love to see the giant dolls. A blank canvas – colour – fashion in all its quirkiness. Artistic talent by Dover Street Market for the Gucci Elton John Range. Click image to find Sir Elton John. Remember with alternative fashion we can be inspired to shop vintage or find cheaper equivalents. A good designer is an aspiration for all to interpret with clashing – textile –  colour – flair and embellishments.

strength for me #diary

This year, I’ve been let down terribly. More so, a very special little girl – rejection is a dreadful thing. But we have to remind ourselves for all closed doors and pain there are new chapters in our lives. New beginnings. We cannot hide behind our security hoping our challenges will go away. It doesn’t work like that. Thriving from others highs and lows is not moral practice. We have to get out there and take care of all the love and try to never stop sharing. Even if we ‘at times’ attract the negative – it is better than being silenced. We all have our own journey going on.

To show empathy – to never wish ill intent on any other. Life really is sweet. I am at a busy time with mine. It is sometimes as though I am juggling with stones. I have realised we should never expect others to treat us with the same grace. To love unconditionally without assumption – desire or a need for validation. I am excited about my future. I have a new venture that is something I have always wanted. Something for me and I am doing it right – with good people around me. I am really proud of myself. I’m just getting on with it. Wish me luck, please.

I Love You. Tiff. X
