Support Independent Business

I just think it is so important to support smaller businesses. I’ve really made an effort to think before I buy. Even paying a few more pennies to buy fruit and veg from a local grocer or fresh bread from the bakery. When we pay into big franchises and chains it is lost money, often going to tax havens. It is so easy to visit a supermarket but these big organisations are putting the High Street – villages and towns out to graze. It’s so wrong and sad. It is not always about money. It’s quality not quantity. I hope we can all do a bit more together. Going to fayres and markets. Sharing news of what our friends and family craft. Life’s too short to not try. Tiff. X

Some of the photographs I take, I do not put on my blog due to respect for those who participate quietly (activists and volunteers in particular) and to keep people feeling safe and inclusive in their own communities. But I do have some nice photographs to add here later of our community in Headingley, West Leeds that I love very much. For now, here’s two darlings who I had the pleasure of meeting and having a hug with today.

Community is nice #diary

Just caught up with my tail. I’ve been back in Leeds, seeing my son for his birthday. Painting my neighbours, who both work in higher education. (No wonder the children love them so much.) Then, getting excited about lovely new things in the area. I love community. It’s often on our doorstep, we find love. We can be anywhere and get involved, when we look around at our immediate environment.

It’s what makes me happiest!

I am going to the local junk shop soon as I want to turn vinyl albums into place mats and get tiles cut for coasters. Making a small effort gives our Love Nests that special touch. Then, I’m cooking!

Evie’s had her hair done. She is a wriggler, never sits still. Full of beans. Groomer said “it’s like trying to style a rabbit on acid.” Bless! Haha …

the womb thought can be parent to all

There are many ways for the feminine to encompass embodiment of the womb, both masculine and feminine. We can all have womb power when we open our home to share love with those that need us. We can foster children, we can build refuge on our land, driveways and in our garden – we can re-home abandoned animals by actual deed not fake persona.

BREAST

We can all be ‘parents’ to those who seek the love.

We do more by opening our doors in a ‘true’ sense. To campaign – to seek our sisters and brothers on our doorstep and tell them they are not alone. Or we can hide behind a wall of self gratification of how much money we have in the ‘sordid’ banks and win pathetic media competitions.

Motherhood is a unity of all – regardless of conception. Motherhood is parenthood for which we are all responsible. We can all be womb when we open our doors. We can ALL nurture if that is what we so desire. No excuses, please. All life needs parents – find them.

Vote for Jeremy Corbyn on June 8th – There is little need in being divided. WE ARE ONE!
